The Acadian flavor of Christmas. St. Nick appears as a Cajun trapper dressed in muskrat and riding a gift-laden pirogue pulled through the sky by eight friendly alligators. Under the pseudonymous byline Trosclair, the story won a Clio Award in1967 from the Academy of Television and Radio Advertising. Illustration in beautiful color plates by James Rice an accomplished painter, sculptor and book illustrator, assistant professor at Southeaster Louisiana University where he has taught for many years.
